Hi! I’m David and this is my little sausage dog Cocktail.

Just like your pup (or pups if you’re lucky enough) she isn’t just a pet; she’s family. And like any family member, we wanted her with us for days out, weekends away and that well earned pint at the local. But we constantly found ourselves asking the same frustrating questions: “Are dogs allowed? Is it truly dog-friendly? Will it be a welcoming experience for us and for her?”

We knew we couldn’t be the only ones. That’s why we created TakeDoggo, a platform to help every dog owner find brilliant, genuinely welcoming places to create lasting memories with their four-legged family members. Even then it’s hard to know where’s good, so TakeDoggo allows mummies and daddies to rate Places and leave reviews from the unique perspective of dog owners. Places can highlight the services they offer and provide all the details that potential customers could want. This includes some clever features the site offers, like specifying the size of dogs they accommodate for and the number of them that each visitor can bring with them.

But our vision extends beyond just finding a table for you and your pup. We believe that every single dog deserves to feel loved. This isn’t just a nice idea,  it’s the driving force behind everything we do. That’s why we give 51% of our profits each year to small regional dog charities who need all the help they can get. So by using TakeDoggo you help us to be able to help thousands of dogs across the UK who need it the most.

I want every dog to feel as loved as yours does. Our purpose is to create a community of Places who love dogs and doggo mummies and daddies. I’d love for you to become part of it.

How we work.

Be the person your doggo thinks you are.

We run TakeDoggo on this one simple value.

We always act with integrity, love and care but we know not all dogs are lucky to have loving mummies or daddies like you. That’s why from day one we have pledged to give 51% of our annual profits to dog focussed charities across the country. Whether that’s working to find them new homes or get them the right treatment, in our eyes every dog deserves to be loved.

Dogs are naturally full of love and trust so the least we think we can do is make sure the TakeDoggo Trust allows them to be loved just as much back. Hopefully it’s a big step in the right direction for us to be the people they think we are.

    What happens behind the scenes.

We work like a dog with a bone.

We really enjoy it though because we have a purpose and we’re making a difference in the world. Everyone who’s part of our Pack is a dog owner themselves and loves helping other mummies and daddies be spoilt for choice with Places to take their dog and just go.

We also pay attention to the details to hopefully make you a fan of the site and can get the most out of it by ensuring that the information we provide on our Places is accurate and properly validated. This may take us a bit of time but in our eyes a job worth doing is worth doing right and we take our responsibility seriously.

    Where we are.

Our Head Office/Kennel is in sunny Morecambe

… but we have a dedicated Pack of field agents across the country.

This means we can provide a localised and tailored service from a Pack member who probably already knows your Place but then have the technical know how in the background to get the best our of your listing.
