Stopped in for a late afternoon drink and the pub/bar was already filling up but we still felt completely welcome. We found a cosy spot by the window and my dog lay down immediately and dozed off, which says it all really. If your dog can nap through the background hum of a busy pub, they’re doing something right. Highly recommended.
Rolo and I stayed the night as part of a short break around Lancashire. Our room was clean and had easy access to get in and out of the hotel with little or no fuss, which made the early morning walk and Rolo's trip to the toilet simple and stress free. What I really liked was how normal it felt to have a dog with me not treated as an exception or a problem. It made me feel like I’d made the right choice booking here and a brilliant find on the site
As someone travelling alone with a dog, I really appreciated the way the staff handled things here. I had my Labrador, Pippa, with me and we stayed for two nights recently. From start to finish it was excellent and the best dog friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. Well done Team Tollhouse it was exceptional.
Brilliant find on here and what stood out was how calm the place felt no loud background music, no crowded tables. Teddy often gets a bit overwhelmed in new settings but he was totally chilled here. The layout helped too, with enough space around us so we didn’t feel cramped. Would definitely come back just for that kind of comfort.
Came in after a long walk along the canal with my Rusty. We were both tired and a bit muddy but no one made a fuss. The staff gave Rusty a spot by the door with space to stretch out and even brought him over a towel. That kind of care doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s a relaxed, well-run place that clearly gets what dog owners need and deserve a brilliant review.
