We stayed with our border collie, Jess, and had a brilliant time. The hotel is clean, well run and genuinely dog friendly. They gave us tips on where to walk based on the amount of exercise Jess needs while still avoiding any fields with livestock in which was brilliant. Also advised us on where to eat with a dog in town and I took it upon myselft o recomment they get themselves on here too as the site is brilliant!
Breakfast was excellent and the bar area was a nice spot to relax after a long day out. Will be back next time we’re in the Lakes.
We stopped in for lunch after a walk with our cocker spaniel, Ruby. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They gave Ruby a bowl of water straight away and brought her a couple of biscuits without us even asking.
The menu had a great variety. I had the fish pie and my partner went for the venison burger. Both were excellent. It was lovely to sit indoors in a proper restaurant with our dog and not feel like a nuisance. Highly recommend it if you're out walking with your pup and fancy a proper meal.
We stayed with our two dogs, Patsy and Tarna. The staff were welcoming and even provided a doggy welcome pack. Our dogs enjoyed sausages at breakfast. Plenty of nearby walks made it a perfect stay.
We stayed for three nights with our terrier Alfie and honestly I don’t think we’ve ever had a better dog friendly stay. The hotel went out of its way to make all of us feel comfortable. Staff asked Alfie’s name on the first day and remembered it for the rest of our stay.
The location couldn’t be better we were walking distance to Orrest Head and a few cosy dog friendly pubs. It’s clear that this place actually caters for dogs, not just advertises that they’re allowed. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!
We stopped here overnight during a road trip through the Lakes with our cocker spaniel, Bruno.
The room was ideal; clean, warm and probably the best bed I have ever slept in. Staff were laid back, friendly and really welcoming to dogs. The food was spot on too and you can see why they are renowned for the best Sunday Roast in the UK. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend the place.
